Ekta Kapoor Biography:

Ekta Jeetendra Kapoor is born on 7 June 1975. She is an Indian TV and film producer, film actress. She is the Creative Director and Joint Managing Director of Balaji Telefilms, her production company,she is most famous for having created and supervised some of the most popular serials in Indian television history,serials that kept the audiences rooted to their television sets and also influenced the psyche of the people.Then she started making movies and produced some of super hit movies. She is the daughter of Hindi film actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Her younger brother Tusshar Kapoor is also a Bollywood actor.

Ekta Kapoor has produced numerous Soap Opera, Television series and movies. Her most famous television ventures have been Hum Paanch, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kkusum, Kutumb, Kahiin To Hoga, Kasamh Se and Bandini . Earlier, Most of her creations used to begin with the letter 'k' due to her superstition that it brings her good luck and fantastic success but most recently she has decided to take away from 'K' and has started some soap operas with different letters as she did earlier in her career. Some of her current popular creations are Pavitra Rishta, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season 2. She has also produced five Bollywood movies, the first of which was Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, Kucch To Hai, Krishna Cottage, Koi Aap Sa and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum . After Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, she also co-produced Shootout at Lokhandwala, Mission Istanbul and produced Love Sex aur Dhokha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Shor in the City and Ragini MMS . She is also producing the upcoming film The Dirty Picture .
